No winners only more losers... hehehe
I tend to think that ALL music by The Cure is depressing...
Elton John did the very dark (and very good) "Madman Across the Water"
"High_Heeled Boys" was a good catch.
R.E.M. "Losing my Religion"
I tend to like the minor-chorded, "depressing" songs ...

1) The first time I heard Foreigner's "Cold As Ice" on the local rock station, with a BIG push by the DJ. That's when I knew radio would suck, now and forever, without hope or recourse, amen.
2) Warren Zevon's final album "The Wind", made when he was told he had less than a year to live. Just looking at the song list convinced me I couldn't listen to the thing without bawling my eyes out. "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"? "Keep Me In Your Heart"? Jesus.

Tried to pick only one Sinatra but couldn't so;
Only the lonely
One for my baby(And one more for the road)
In the wee small hours
But the REAL killer.....
Honey - Bobby Goldsboro. No, Im not kidding.

Bobby Goldsboro - Honey
If this old song doesn't cut you up you must be something less than human.
Ignore the cartoon nonsense.

Mike Curb Congregation - Burning Bridges
Joey tried to help me find a job a while ago
When I finally got it I didn't want to go
The party Mary gave for me when I just walked away
Now there's nothing left to say
All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
Burning bridges lost forevermore
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MkrJtSN3Ek
Don't watch the movie, just close your eyes and listen to the words.

Damn it, I hate to admit it, but every time I hear that song I get a lump in my throat.

Mike And The Mechanics - The Living Years
I wasn't there that morning
When my father passed away
I didn't get to tell him
All the things I had to say
I think I caught his spirit
Later that same year
I'm sure I heard his echo
In my baby's new born tears
I just wish I could have told him in the living years
