so what is the most annoying song you've ever heard?
BIG YELLOW TAXI - Joni Mitchell!!!

I hate it when she says "YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TILL ITS GONE" over and over..... Makes me mad.... I KNOW WHAT I HAVE WHEN I HAVE IT!!! -- I dont like taking advantage of things,etc.......

Another one is DONT WORRY BE HAPPY!! (Bobby Mcferrin) and fast car! (Tracey chapman)

Holy thread necro, Batman.

To add my own, whatever song playing on the radio when my alarm clock goes off. 🙂 At least stations around here, it seems their programming is fixed, so you hear the same wake-up song for 3 weeks in a row.

Fun - "We are young" haunted me for months--the tick of my gas stovetop's ignition sounds exactly like the opening percussion of that song.

If it's not only about an official release then song from Oreo advert. In my opinion that's the one.

edit: George Michael - "Last Christmas" and rest of this Christmas stuff they usually play on the radio is so stuffed with cheese that I can't stand it

Hi,

I'm astonished only two of us mentioned those darn christmas doodle stuff before
Come on guys, you complain about songs that You may hear once a year and don't complain about that acoustic warfare starting as soon as July and never really ending throughout the rest of the year.
Even if You ignore the brute commercialism of christmas You need to buy at least some food ... and bingo .... first shop not yet entered and Your ears already sodomized by the jingling bells of hell. 😡
You're lost ... evasive action won't help ... its simply everywhere ... bells bells and more bells and George Michael of course.
If there were a top10 of the most annoying songs, christmas lalala should lead the list with a great margin.

Any Peter, Paul and Mary song that has Peter Yarrow singing in it.

No really. He is the most obnoxious singer I've ever heard. When he sings with the other members I get this feeling that he's thinking 'Hey listen to me. I am so cool and if it weren't for me these two losers that are tagging along with me would be in the gutter'. Where in reality Paul and Mary's backup vocals were very enjoyable to listen to.

Yes, almost anything Christmas-related that isn't traditional (read: OLD!) choral arrangements is a full on assault of my sanity. Bah humbug! 😀

(I really do like old choral arrangements, though, but not too much of it either)
