Currently in the planning stages of my old mosfet amp rebuild.
A couple of questions regarding wiring to the good folk of DiyAudio
Specifically Internal cabling;
Reservoir caps to the output boards ? conductor size ? Twisted, parallel or separated.
Is single core wire better than multi-strand cable ?
Boards to speaker terminals ? conductor size ? Twisted, parallel or separated.
Is single core wire better than multi-strand cable ?
Inputs, sockets to boards ? twisted pair or coax ? Twisted, parallel or separated.
Is single core wire better than multi-strand cable ?
Cheers and thanks in advance

find an old HH V800 Mosfet look at how they built that...model your project to that standard, your done!
1) Reservoir caps to the output boards ? conductor size ? Twisted, parallel or separated.
2) Boards to speaker terminals ? conductor size ? Twisted, parallel or separated.
3) Inputs, sockets to boards ? twisted pair or coax ? Twisted, parallel or separated.
1) Twist all three (pos, gnd, neg) conductors together. Short, 14-16 wire.
2) Close together, twisted or not. Short, 14-16 wire.
3) Twisted tightly or coax. Short.
Either solid or stranded wire can be used, but if you nick solid wire, it can break easily.

Always with high current wiring, twist together to greatly reduce the magnetic field being sprayed around the cabinet. Here you twist all three together as the net current of all three is zero, which is always what you want.Currently in the planning stages of my old mosfet amp rebuild.

Wire size depends on max rms current, its a fire-safety issue to use wires too thin for the current (or without fuse protection). Tables exist for wire ratings.
If high vibration or movement possible use multi-strand to reduce fatique issues, and tie down regularly, otherwise not an issue I think. Is single core wire better than multi-strand cable ?
Exact same principles apply, each speaker pair twisted pair (net current zero rule), size appropriate for max rms current.Boards to speaker terminals ? conductor size ? Twisted, parallel or separated.

Low level signals best in screened cables.Inputs, sockets to boards ? twisted pair or coax ? Twisted, parallel or separated.

cable thickness depends on amp voltage and current.
i prefer stranded wire as it can bend easier.
if the amp is on the road/move a lot solid wire can fracture.

Thanks for your input guys. Very helpfully.
Should I assume that there is no sonic difference between solid and stranded cables ?
