More fake caps !

Strange is that we raise the bar when it is about known European brands. Then we expect them to produce and offer stuff for the same low prices... and then we talk but still buy cheap stuff from the Far East. The known brand takes production to the Far East to be able to compete and then produces for the same low prices and then we complain that "quality is not what it used to be" and have more jobless people than we had before that we need to support.

The one day one wakes up, does the laundry and uses new cheap plastic clothespins to hang the laundry to dry and the clothespins all snap to pieces the first time one uses them 😀 A simple product that lasted ages when made in the EU....

It was a metaphore.. I meant that many simple everyday life things are now suddenly prone to break down. Like clothespins, drinking straws, aluminium bicycles etc. All made even cheaper than they were before but now they're disposable.

Increased prosperity and a reduced birth rate, and social benefits have caused Europe to shoot itself in the foot.
We get offers from Europe, they say big volume, we say it is only 10 days work annually for us, for that the entire CE mark rigmarole has to be gone through.

We say not interested, the potential (European) buyers can't believe they have been told off.
And for the most part accountants and big buyers are to blame for offering low prices to suppliers, with the inevitable results.
The seller will find another customer, or close down.
The younger generation are not as capable or hard working, it is an inevitable result of prosperity.
But I feel this is going off topic.

Moderation, if needed, is welcome.

That video reminds me of a similar finding inside of a product.

A couple of years back, someone gave me a cute, retro-style clock radio.
I immediately noticed that it was a bit heavy, giving it the sense that it was a quality product.
But being made in china, I knew better.

Upon opening it up to peek inside, I spotted a concrete block strapped to the inside of the cabinet!
AHA!....... so THAT'S why it seemed solid and weighty!

Them crooked asians are quite resourceful. (think sneaky)

Make things heavy.... people will think it's quality.
Make impressive outer cabinets......again, people will be fooled by the appearances.
Jack up the prices too, because fools think its gotta be worth it.

But best of all........
Make it CHEAP!

Sadly so yes.

Seems a good explanation, the truth should not hurt anyone.
