Let's assume we have the following setup:
A phono pre feeds TWO 12AU7 cathode follower buffers (with constant current sources). One of the buffers feeds a tube preamp (12 AU7 two stages with volume attenuators). The other feeds a CD recorder.
The question is: If I move the volume switch in the preamp, will such change have any effect on the signal being recorded on the CDR or are the buffers enough to truly isolate both outputs?
The system is:
Phono Pre-------->Buffer 1------->Preamp------->Amps
...............I-------->Buffer 2------->CDR
Thanks a lot,
