Moon 100d DAC fuse.

1 year ago I had my Moon 100d Dac fail and get service by Moon, after a loud pop from the speakers after plugging in the power, distorted sound at full gain and an audible hum resulted. Moon service charged me $40 for a part, and $120 in labour. Now, 1 year later the same thing has happened (always using the stock PSU). Not willing to pay all over again, I opened up the DAC to see what was repaired. Upon very close inspection, the only visible solder marks, that are not obviously machine made, are replacement of a slow blow fuse by the power input. The part is a 1400ma 250v slow blow fuse. I looked this part up online, and ordered half a few at $0.70 each. Now for my question! Could this have been my only problem after possibly the PSU wall wart gave a power surge? Do slow blow fuses possible blow 'half way' causing a hum and distorted audio at peak music? Or has something else obviously been damaged, causing the fuse to blow? If so, it should be obvious what Moon repaired on the board previously. Or, should I contact Moon and ask for some kind of warrantee claim on repair service since its been under 1 year, and broke again? Strangely, they say 100d's never come in for service.
