okay, nothing comes up to answer my question in the "similar threads" above where i'm typing. I want to keep my stock head-unit/speakers.

also, i type in "loc-80" and nothing comes back in a search...

***i recently bought a "package deal" online. (Hifonics HFi-121000D4 Car Stereo Packages - Packages at Onlinecarstereo.com)

i hooked everything up correctly, including the loc-80 (loc-80 items - Get great deals on Electronics, eBay Motors items on eBay.com!)

i hooked the remote wire to the green factory harness wire as shown in diagram (http://www.gaownersclub.com/images/monsoon/amplifier.gif)

i have power to the amp, but nothing to the subs... any suggestions on what it could be?

thanks, also this is my first post so if its in the wrong place, a mod can move it to the right place please.. thanks, scott...

You have to connect the loc to the wires that run the factory "subs/woofers". The high pass channels only create high frequencies and the amp won't play those. Where did you connect the loc? Also, be sure to connect the input wire polarities of the loc correctly. If you connect one side reversed there will be absolutely no sound from the amp because one input channel will be inverted and cancel the other channel out.

i hooked the loc-80... and another 2 way harness up right behind the stereo(different times)...neither of the 2 seem to be working...

using the diagram in the first post, gray and white wires to brown/yellow and dark blue/light blue...

The deck might not be able to drive the loc, your system has external amplifiers to run the speakers. You need to connect to the woofer wires either in the doors or the rear deck woofers.

In a normal delco system you would connect behind the radio:

loc white > brown (left rear+)
loc white/black . yellow (left rear -)
loc grey > dark blue (right rear +)
loc grey/black > light blue (right rear -)

You need to get the wires that are going to the car speakers though, the ones behind the deck just run the car's oem amplifier. They should be the same colors almost to the speaker.

Or you can use the front woofers:

left = tan+, grey-
right = light green +, dark green -
