has anyomne tried to use these planer panels as mid or HF drivers in a custom system? i have 4 of them the model MM1000. they play pretty loud off the 25 WPC the plate amp in the sub box feeds them, wondered how they'd perform if used in a home stereo set up in stead of computer? try them like you might use a ribbon driver in a 2 way system?
maybe feed them a signal from a passive xover?
ideas?

IIRC the chap at VMPS...
bought what as left of these and rebuilt them all. He uses them as mid units and they sound very good. You might have a go at picking his brain about them.

A friend of mine built speakers with about 8 or so of the monsoon panels per speaker. They are crossed at 200hz and then up high to aurum cantus ribbons/pioneer ribbons.
When run as dipole I think they sound excellent. As monopole, not as "interesting".
I know he reads here, he may post when he gets back from vacation.
