Monitor

Inputs are where an input signal is connected... not outputs.

These boxes appear to have a speakon connector on the bottom-rear panel, another passive speaker could be connected there but you will have no control over it's volume and it must be 8 ohm.

It likely won't work but there is no harm in trying though you will need an XLR gender changer to make the connection. Speakers that are designed to be connected this way have a dedicated XLRM thru/output jack, that is the only way this can be done with just a regular XLR cable.

Oh Yes it works. You just need a XLR Female to 2 XLR male cable.
You can go up to 5-6 parallel connections depending on output & input impedances.
XLR Link/Thru connections are paralleled with the XLR inputs.
Link Outs have usually active circuits in-between.
The example above mixes the 3 inputs and also splits L&R channels from the jacks or RCAs.
You feed a Stereo cable and run one of the channels to the other speaker.

The OP needs to post a control panel picture of his actual "proreck 12 powered speaker" for a better answer.

We do not know his configuration.

EDIT: IF he means this one:

he does NOT have "a dedicated XLRM thru/output jack" like on the Yamaha.

Yes, the "universal" answer can be using a Y cable (which was not mentioned in the answer) but that´s not really "connecting the powered monitor to the powered speaker input", simply "adding an extra output to the mixer"

Wild guessing until confirmed.
