Hi Guys been a long time lurker here. I was going to go with a clari-t dual mono and Monica DAC. I did a bunch of research and reading on the Charlize and feel that is the way I should go. So bear with me please. What do you think of the feasibility of using two Charlize boards (one running the coupled woofer and mid of my Triangle Zerius 202 (stereo)) and the other running the tweeters (stereo). The Triangles allow for this via the binding posts and essentially all I am doing is doubleing the wattage not really bi-amping. Can all three units be used with the same switching PS if the amperage is 3-6 A? Is there a mechanical downside to this? Also would the DAC output essentially be "Y" off to each amp. I would assume that this could be an issue. Finally any chance to have dual volume pots that are remote controllable.

the bi-amp you are describing should work well, but the Monica may not be able to drive the rig well without help - i.e. , some sort of active preamp or line stage.
You'll want to check the wiring on your Triangle speakers. Be sure that in bi-amp mode the 2 halves do not share a common ground. They probably don't, but you want to check for sure.
The setup done right should sound really sweet. My 1st "serous" speaker project, about 20 years ago, was a full range Triangle driver in a TQWT driven by a tiny tube amp. Wonderful! Neighbors in the building were always asking to come in to "hear the musicians" in my apartment, or telling me "your getting really good on that saxophone." Yeah, just like Paul Desmond! 😉

Thank you panomaniac its nice to get an opinion from you specifically. I have looked around a bit more regarding DACs and unfortunately i feel they are even less reviewed than other components. I ran across the tube DACs wich looked good off a link of the Jerico builders page (I want to build a set of these soon) Also the Benchmark DAC1 also doubles as a Preamp which is nice (Its more than i can afford as I got other projects I want to do).
So It looks like I can pull the biamp Charlize off. I have checked out your site many times before and may I ask why you arent doing something with the charlize (I know 41HZ is real good but the modding and expense of that seems more to the customer than if you did "custom" rigs like I described in the first post)
I see you might have some projects with the superTs and Ill keep a lookout for that. Do you do any custom work or do you prefer what your doing? Thank you so much it is appreciated.

I think the double Charlize will work nicley for you. You might want to try running one amp per speaker, i.e. lows on left, highs on right, instead of the more conventional set up.
If you have a look at the crosstalk charts on my site, you'll see that crosstalk is a little problem at higher frequencies. We did not test the Charize, but the cross talk is likely to be similar to AMP6 and Fenice. So why not run the left signal on one amp, the right on the another? Then crosstalk is not a problem at all.
Yo won't be getting twice the power with twice the amplifiers, (ohms law) but you will get a great sounding system.
As for custom work and the Charlize - I do some custom work, but it takes so much time I can't really charge a fair rate for it. Better to work out a good solution and do it over and over, thus Octopus Amps. There are advantages to mass production, even in tiny numbers. 🙂 DIY sites like this are great help to those wanting to build or mod because you don't have to reinvent it yourself - big time and headache saver!
Maybe Charlize could use a facelift, but I don't know - she sure is pretty now, at least that's what the guys here think. They seem to be in love. And I'm not sure Yeo would want me messing around with his girl.

I've also been using this configuration (passive biamping) with the standard unmodified T-Amp. But lately I've switched to one amp for each frequency range and did find an improvement as to soundstage.
