so its common to see 3 way and up speakers
put each driver into there own cavity... or enclosure
so has anyone tried building a modular system
say 2 8" drivers each in there own box and a tweeter or mid/ tweeter combo
in a equaly sized box or so...
with a magic system that i have thought up already
you could detach and reattach the drivers in to a couple of diffrent setups...
1 = WTW = home theater
2 = TWW = music
3 - TW W (used as sub) = flex
when doing so - you could / would select the setup on the back of each box = to change xover etc... a simple switch or similar
any thoughts?
thanks

detachable ported box with midbass and tweeter in, slots on top of an optional bass enclosure with an 8 inch bass driver in, and the port gets stuffed on the mid/tweet box. the bass enclosure contains the additional elements of the crossover to roll off the bass to the upper enclosure and pad it down to the same level as the bass driver.
