My current preamp, which is actualy front stage of A75 is using +/- 30V regulated power supply. I was planning on building Aleph P preamp in a same chassis and use the current PS. Can I connect regulated -30V to ground and use +30V as a positive voltage supply achieving that way +60V. The ground of the +/- 30V supply is not connected. Any advantages/disadvantages to that setup? Thanks for any info.

There should be no problem at all, as long as the center tap of your ps isn't grounded somewhere.
Peter,
I am in the opinion that the A75 never got the credit it deserved. I built the amplifier and it easily took out some high priced competition.

P.S. I hope one day Mr.Pass will re-visit the design.

I have built 3 monoblock pairs of A75 since 1993. Although I have parts for another 3 sets of Alephs (including sinks and transformers) I'm not rushing with those projects. My A75s sound really good and I didn't feel the need to replace them yet.
