Modifying Magnets JX92S

Hi,

I saw PARTSEXPRESS now carry neodymium magnets, which comes with different shape.

I wonder if its good to change the ferrite magnets from JX92S with neo magnets with config like FOCAL farraday rings?

If you don't know the answer to that, then you are not likely to be able to do it... even someone that really knew what they were doing (and access to a serious shop) would probably end up destroying at least a couple drivers before getting one that worked (and not likely with magnets from PE).

I'm aware of one Jordan OEM who removed the shielding but even that was serious work and not for the faint of heart.

Good advice.

i knew a friend back home who's crazy about neo magnets

he change lots of speaker magnets, including the jx92s but unfortunately i didnt hear them in proper way.

he did with focal style of magnets, with 5pcs 25mm neo magnets stack together and did 5 of them for the jx92s.

but even he didn't know the proper calculations for it 😀

JX125 and JX150 aren't sheilded... it is just a plastic cover. I have a JX150 where the cover just came off on its own
