Dear moderators and everyone else,
I have a request and would like anyone else who supports this idea to let us all know.
I would like a DIY HTPC category on this forum. Since the HTPC is used for both audio and video and is an electronic device and is starting to become an integrated component in many audio and HT systems I think we should have a category dedicated to these machines.
I don't know if it should be in the "moving images" part of the forum but it well could be.
Please let us and the moderators know if there is some general interest in this. Although there is a forum for this at AVS I feel that we need a more DIY orientation instead of the more general commercial approach that the AVS forum has.

The HTPC is starting to become integrated in many Home Theater setups. I too think that we should have a HTPC category in this forum!

Thanx for the suggestion.
A bit broader scope might be good. Having just loaded up an iMac to be a dedicated server for HiFi use i'm personally interested in this stuff.
It is under discussion.

I'm in favour of it as well. Seeing as it's the #1 way to feed a signal to a DIY projector, it only seems natural. It would also be a good place for all the Powerstrip, FFDShow, etc. related questions and discussions.
Makes sense to me.... but then, I haven't owned a real TV in about 5 years. Just keep getting TV tuner cards. (Currently using ATI AIW 9600 btw)
