Till, this thread is the appropriate place to discuss issues with moderation. We try to limit such discussions to here. Relevant posts will not be removed or deleted, and this thread will stay open.

So, can I assume that Tills stuff was moved/closed because it was off-topic and Till discussed issues that belong in THIS thread? Seems to me like the moderators only did their job.

i think its pretty much on topic, if not, they should give a reson. Not say :" a, well its so because it is so". I understand thats the style of their president to give reasons for war and killing other peoples, but still i do not think it is the right way to give a reason.


They move threads to off topic because it is not seen by the large part of people reading the board. They try to pull out critical threads and such that are bad for moderators interests out of public view this way.

Anyway Till, this is way over any normal civilised way of discussing. I WAS trying to help you, but you are so unbelievable I give up. Enjoy the forum, others will try to make it enjoyable for you as well.

Most of the mods aren't in the USA. I think it is safe to say that he is about as popular with the majority of them as he is with you.

Only if they let me put something outrageous like "Il Duce" as my title. That way everyone would know who is in charge.

We would also have to blaster my likeness everywhere, just to reinforce it. Just like all those commie types do. That would make some here feel right at home.

Well I know I`m not the one who has been asked but I would have at least one idea how some very confusing things could be improved.

I`m talking about disappearing posts, for example in this thread:

I know it may be bit late to complain but I had (and still have) some serious sorrows about my job and I`m not in the best mood.

As I wrote in the thread above (now this post has been moved to the moderating thread here, post 455) I got an email notification that DIY.Audio member MalichiConstant has posted. I looked up short time after the notifcation email but the post has been removed already.
After this "Elso Kowak", me and "Jam" have posted. One after another of this posts disappeared. I think there was even a post from "Netlist" one of the moderators which has been removed too, but I`m not sure.
I did not know what was going on until a friendly member informed me that this posts have been moved to the moderating thread. Until that time I did not know that removed posts from threads get "parked" here (well, maybe my fault).


To me and I believe for everyone else this practice does not make much sense. These posts which have been moved from other threads to here in the "moderating" thread are completely out of context of everything and when they have not actually been useless before already, now they are it for sure. One don`t even know in which thread they were posted originally, let alone an explanation why they have been removed.

Hence, nobody unless those who actually have been involved in a specific case/thread, can know were this deleted posts once belonged and what they do or better did mean. For all others this removed posts in the moderating thread are completely meaningless - a big pile of useless garbage.

I don`t think this is a good practice. When a post is removed, at least there should be some sign visible for everybody that there was a post at all, that it has been removed by moderators and a link to where it is now (and even better it would be with a short explanation, for example: post xyz from user zyx has been moved by moderator xx to yy because of zz).

What really still quite puzzles me is that MalichiConstant`s post was erased completely and that it don´t even appear here in the moderation thread at all.
As well as everybody who is a bit familiar with the forum, moderators knew already that MalichiConstant is Fred D. . So when they consider this as a sock puppet and against the rules why they have not disabled this account earlier?

I don`t know much about what is going on behind the curtains of this forum but anyway, I`m inclined beginning to believe "Jam" is right in what he say .................



P.S.: I don`t say this thread is completely useless.
Actually a junkbox can be very handy.
I think everybody around here has a junkbox full of parts which could come in useful once in a while.
But when You erase the parts values and designations and take away the tools to measure the values or to find out which part is which, You could as well throw away all the parts.

Fred left of his own accord, and wanted his membership put on hold. We did that. As he left voluntarily, we didn't put a block on the other sock puppet accounts, that was an oversight, and we did wrong...

If he wanted to post, all he had to do was ask, and his membership would have been reinstated. He did not ask therefore his sock puppet was against the rules, and got removed.

Clear now? 🙂

Would YOU wanted to be judged by your leaders, past or present, or as Till? What you don't realise is that by smearing people in your post, your case, even if it was a right one, is already lost. You're shooting yourself in the foot big time.

But you allowed 39 posts by MalichiConstant. This makes your credibility very low and feels like arbitrariness, not to use the word in my avatar, especially as the new member MC was under "moderation".

Simple, we can't be everywhere at once! We didn't know he was back until that post was seen. The others we missed. As I said, HE said he wanted to go, so we were not really looking...

All he has to to do is ask, and he can post. That's it. But has he? No...

I still don`t understand why it is necessary to erase posts completely.

Wouldn`t it be more "educational" and less confusing to do it the way I said: to give a short explanation why the post has been removed and where it is now so that everybody can see it and judge by himself?

believe that who wants. Everytime someone posts the circuit discover - each other - link it takes 30 second for SY to show up and erase it. A moderator critic statement is watched in a few minutes, the thread moved in hours and closed in 2 days or so.
