Modding NAD S500 CD player

Hey,

I have a NAD S500 that I really like and was wondering whether or not it would be possible/worthwhile to mod it. The CD player is probably about 10 years old, although I haven't had it for very long. I was initially thinking of just upgrading to a more current cd player, but I'm starting to reconsider because I've heard a few and I still prefer the S500. For example, I thought the Rotel RCD-1072 was nice with good bass, but I didn't particularly care for the presentation/thin(ish) sound. Most of them also don't have balanced outputs at that price range, which I don't use now but plan to. Thus I want to keep this one for a little bit longer

So anyway, I opened the player up and it looks like it does below. Are there any no-brainer mods that I should try out? I'm kind of a newbie to modding, but I've soldered many times before. I believe the CD player uses a 24-bit crystal DAC. There are 8 Burr-Brown OPA134PA opamps. Can these be replaced with something superior?

Suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
