Hello folks, just bought one old old LD player SOny MDP-MR1 for 17 bucks.. and it sounds quite nice..
my plan is to mod it, opening it up shocked me!! mostly SMD components!
I identified the audio section and found few chips, one is Sony CXD2507AQ and CA0002AM..
i manged to find CXD2507AQ, which is a digital signal processor. but i am not sure which one is DAC, is CA0002AM a DAC chip, i cant find a single data online. Please tell me if you happen to know
Thanks.

All you need is the CXD2507 datasheet. Once you have that you can decide on whether you want to follow the pcb traces to the dac and modify the output stage, use a different dac or anything else.
You could use an external DAC; pin 39 is Dout. If the player doesn't have S/PDIF out already, there may still be locations on the board ready to be populated.
