Modding an old practice amp - switches, pots etc

Just in case anyone's interested, not much to report on this for the time being:

Bolting the pcb back onto the chassis did indeed fix the radio interference issue

The switch suggestion is going to require further investigation (by which I mean I think I cocked it up then ran out of time)

Voltmeter in my borrowed workspace wasn't where I thought it was, so will have to find one from somewhere else

More news as it happens...
 
Little update on this - I managed to get the pushbutton fitted and it does indeed switch out the distortion, which is great. Also managed to add another one which does the same for the reverb. Progress on this has slowed a bit now due to imminent baby arrival, but next thing is going to be to fix a few little issues that have developed with the tone pots, probably due to my bad soldering!

After that I want to see if it's possible to even out the disparity between the volume with overdrive deployed (LOUD) versus the volume when clean (pretty quiet). Any ideas on that?
