Hi, to you all DIY mates,
I took recently in hands a pair of Audio Nirvana super 8" CF for my first DIY fullrange speaker.
I'm very anxious to have them in an appropriate and not so complex enclosure and enter the Fullrange world.
I 'd like all the experts here to advice me which of the two enclosures (MLTL or Half Chang) could be more prominent regarding efficiency and bass output.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
George

Hmm. Assuming the published specs. are accurate (dubious) the AN isn't ideal for this kind of load without some form of correction as it's a very low Q unit. However, there are ways around that.
HC is a bit small for it. Here's an MLTL though: 54in tall, 82.5in^2 CSA, 3in diameter x 1in long vent 2in up from the base. Driver-centre (Zdriver) 19.125in down from the top. Line top, back & one sidewall with 1in acoustic fiberglass or similar & adjust to taste from there. Dimensions all internal. FR plot assumes 5ohms of series resistance added; depending on where they're positioned & what your amplifier is, you might be able to get away with less or none. There are plenty of other MLTL options / sizes etc too of course.
