Inititally, yes, I think it's best to go with the cheap option (assuming we can find suitable surrounds) and see what results we get. If it doesn't work out we'll look into the driver replacement.

You should be able to find a replacement surround.... somewhere
I've never actually replaced a surround myself(with a new one anyway) but I've taken apart alot of speakers, and it is a rather tedious process. I think you should be able to do it just fine though. Just make sure you have proper glue, and correctly align the voice coil.

Thanks Scooby1. I've sent them an email. There's nothing on their website which has a small enough internal diameter to overlap the cone. Fingers crossed...
