Ordered some more amps and a Behringer and XLR's and balanced madness to bi-amp this no baffle with active XO; getting a pair of auto 15's with ~3.00QTS for install in a separate 2-way OB on large cutting boards. The super mid has many choices. The orange cone 3 inch, all of the other 3 inch GuanYin, Coste, etc, Diatone clone, Alpair. Looked at ceramics but they ring like bells and not the sound signature I prefer.
Prospective XO point on both the NOB and OB will be 300-500hZ if a 2-way.
One pair standing on the floor, one suspended. Hopefully the suspended one will retain some of the sound stage magic. If not, I'll just revert to one widerange for that system and keep the large OB for casual listening. May experiment with auto-magnet-mounting 4 of the 10 inch in an out of phase, NOB stacked setup, see how that sounds, perhaps reduce the front/back wave cancellation.
Diatone, Alpair, the current ChiFi 4 inch, all of the 3 inchers, all options for the widerange single driver in frame NOB.
Currently listening to Sister Feelings Call, Simple Minds, at ~63dB C weighted with the 10 inch in with the 4 inch on the NOB. Sounds good far field.

why don't you
add some drivers, each with its own specific role, instead of fighting with power and extension, knowing the fact that IM brings many artifacts too.
Because I don't want to add some drivers, I don't want power and extension and I don't want those artifacts.
Have you been paying attention? I listen at 63 to 71dB at my listening seat and pinpoint sound stage is my main priority.
I have you on ignore and in a foolish attempt at being open minded, I clicked on your post to reveal it.
Just another reminder why you are on my ignore list.
It is simply too much for you to not tell another grown man, that he should not do what he is doing, that he should not want what he wants, that his preferences are to be rejected - accepting these things are just too difficult for you.

High quality 4, 6.5 inch to 8 inch driver selection is limited and I am reaching the limits of locally available supply.
Available are the Mark Audio 6p or 10p, the Air-Acoustics 3 or 4 inch, the many Diatone clones, some with Alinco magnets, the 4, 5 and 6 inch variants of the G-Audio, GuanYin orange cone fabric surround 3 inch that is doing well in the bedroom system, one or two Fostex clones with copper caps and whizzer cones.
Many of these do not have t/s or FR graphs, so I am going to buy a Superlux mic and use my music server laptop as the test bed platform, measure free air response out in the yard.
Best of this lot may be, obviously, the Alpairs, but I have found several diamonds in the rough in 3 and 4 inches and the 10 inch subs sound excellent.
I may go many ways, but likely first is a pair of Diatones that can be used in the 2-way baffle, or as the no baffle swinging driver with or without support from the 10 inchers.
