From my understanding the miniStreamer outputs at a variable sample rate and the miniDSP 2x4 requires a fixed sample rate input over I2S to work.
Is it possible to solve this problem by using a driver or some other software to convert all audio out over USB to the appropriate sample rate before it's outputted? If so, would these 2 boards now work together? If so, what kind of cables would I need to get the I2S from the miniStreamer to the miniDSP?
If not, are there any other more cost and space efficient options than getting the miniStreamer and the miniDIGI boards?

A query related to this was asked awhile back. I believe the basic incompatibility still exists and you'll need an interim ASRC and/or software modification to the ministreamer.
