You can lightly fill a vented box with polyfill and the port will still work
but you will not reduce the box volume that much, if you do the port
will stop working. Open foam lining of the box also helps vented.
You need 3L to 4L per driver, internally as a cube 14.5cm to 16cm.
The smallest (and lightest) way of ding this is a thin walled cabinet
with extensive ribbing for rigidity, this is often done with plastics.
But you could do it with e.g. thin plywood.
For a 3.5L enclosure you need a 30mm internal diameter 70mm
long port or 35mm diameter 100mm long for 80Hz port tuning.
You will need a bass filter somewhere to prevent overload below
80Hz, set at around 60Hz Q= 0.7 2nd order Butterworth or similar.
