I bought the MiniDSP miniSHARC, IR remote, and VOL-FP a while back and have been re-thinking the project. I soldered a header to the PCB but can remove it based on the buyers preference.
Buyer gets everything for $180 including S&H to continental US.

Hi, i know this is a "sale" but, I would like to know if this is usable to my project.
I would like to output 8 channel audio from my PC (I use it as movie,music,games) to my discrete amps, without using an AVR.
So... can I use this miniSHARC with the miniDSP miniDAC8 to do that?
PC --> USB --> miniSHARC + miniDAC8 --> RCA output --> discrete amp --> speakers.
How "easy" is to use the DSP on the miniSHARK? Is it comparable to the miniDSP 2x4?
Cheers
UPDATE: It seems the miniSHARK does not have USB audio input, and it's only for control. In that case I only have stereo input.

Im glad you found your answer. There is an available SPDIF input if you check the data sheet. The miniSHARC is a great option for connection to DAC kits like the miniDAC8 or direct to digital (I2S) input amplifiers.
