Hello;
I was wondering, for my next 3-way active speaker system, focusing solely on sound performance, which would be better: a MiniDSP Flex Eight, or an audio-PC (fanless i7), a MOTU UltraLite mk5 audio interface, and software like Equalizer APO / CamillaDSP - REW?
Thank you?

The miniDSP will be easier, as it is purely made for this purpose, but the PC will have streaming capabilities etc. If you already have a nice source/streamer, I'd go miniDSP.
If the PC is purely for audio, an i7 is wasted money. i5 or ever i3, ryzen 5 will do the job.

A MOTU UltraLite MK5, combined with software such as Equalizer APO / CamillaDSP, is expected to deliver superior performance compared to a MiniDSP Flex system. Given that my setup already incorporates an audio PC with sufficient resources, the MOTU MK5 presents itself as the most logical choice, despite not being the easiest to configure and set up. Are you Agree?
