Hi
Ive been asked to look into building a mini drum module for a friend and need some help. ideally he wants a small battery operated module that can playback 3 different sounds when triggered by piezo switches.
any ideas?
someone suggested this could be done with 3 PIC's. ??
cheers

EPE did a project a bit back for playing back sound samples stored in an EEPROM, might be just what you need? - it could even be configured to play two shorter samples.
A better idea is to purchase a PSP and go to http://www.psprhythm.com/ and download the free ap that has all the classic 808 and 909 sounds PLUS! you can import your own samples. Pretty sweet little free be!
Heres a screen shot of the stock interface, it is modeled after a machine drum made by Elektron. I once owned one and it was truly the best damn drum machine I ever owned, and I have had quite a few. 😉

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
