Already got a aleph 30 built with briantgt boards. love it. But for the fun of it and to how reasonably could be done, gave the mini a shot. rather than scouring for boards to buy then having to custom order bunch tiny resistors from digikey, made it so i could use std 1/4 watters.
Didn't find any ready to print n etch board so just laid my own out - part of the fun or learning experience. but then there are 3 circuits to look at, grey's, briangt's and kk-pcb with little discrepencies. More or less used briangt's as reference. Made 2 little mistakes, one with a zener on the neg half of diff input and another with the 47.5k that later haunted me. But, easily patched those. Used a amveco toroid most always listed on d'bay selling for 10-15 + shipping usually. 267VA, 14.5 x 2 vac after paralleling up some of the secondaries (mpmarino had mentioned these toroids a few times). Using 15000x2 25v, R into 6800x8. Have 14.7 volts when up and running. Used 0.45 ohm for the R, but think i need to increase that a touch to quiet down the supply some more.
Was manageable to etch at home.
Anyway... very impressed with the sonics. Same voice, nice bottom end on my speakers... not quite the 30 but the mini's 10-12 watts works very well on my 87db 3 ways.
I might be pushing it a little on the sinks, 8x3 5/8. Append little extra sink on it. Will torture it and see.
Let me know if want the board layout - need to fix my 2 little errors. Not sure if appropriate to post or if need permission.
Thanks Nelson for the aleph concept and to Grey for the extrapolation of it into the mini.
