Micro Seiki M505II tonearm height adjustment

Hi,
I need some help from any Micro Seiki tonearm owners out there. I found a M505II that hasn't been used for many years. The tonearm pillar is loose in the collar and looking at the manual I think I should twist like a screw to get it to loosen/tighten on the pillar. The manual could also mean turn/push the lever anticlockwise to loosen or clockwise to tighten. I can't see how that would tighten on the pillar and it doesnt seem to do anything, so before I break anything could someone please advise. Any other tips on using this arm would be welcome.
I have tried WD40 on the inside of the lock lever and twisting but nothing gives.

Thanks,
Kffern
BTW the tonearm was on a lightly used BL-51 which I have too.

Thanks Guys, but I solved the problem later that day. Apologies for not posting earlier but I didnt think I'd get a response after all this time.
All it needed was a bit of WD40 and it started turning. Before that the fixing nut loosened when I tried to move it back, yet it was not tight on the tonarm pillar. Works great now.
Regards,
kffern
