MICLA - Mini Class A amplifier

MICLA has an output +14dB into 6/8 Ohm speaker.

SPL = Sound Pressure Level
Say you have a speaker with SPL 88dB.
With this amp you get 88+14 = 102dB. This is an awful high sound.
Say you have a sensitive speaker, SPL 92dB.
With this amp you get 92+14 = 106dB. This might make you ears bleed.
So I advice you not to turn up volume too much ... with MICLA

Um... Speakers are rated dBA @ 1 meter and 1 Watt. Your amp will manage a bit less than 5 Watts into 8 Ohms, ie 7dB over 1 Watt. At two meters (-6dB), 92dB @1m,1W will be 92+7-6= 93dBA, just loud enough to be useable, but no threat to your ears. For bleeding ears, you need about 120dBA or about 1000Watts.

Same Same. @lineup what is the efficiency of MICLA at around 5watts/6ohm?

@steveu But if the tweeter in said speaker is 110 db/watts and MICLA is only driving that, you would have to be careful. 120db is an F16 heating engines at 10 meters iirc.
