Mic Preamp with PGA2500

Hi to everyone out here!

I'm planning to build up a remote-controllable mic preamp
with built-in ADC for studio recording purposes, and I stumbled
across the PGA2500. Has anyone tried to work with the PGA2500
yet? I'm especially interested in the SNR and noise issues in relation
to a "normal" opamp stage. The circuit should contain as few external parts as possible, because the preamp shall have 8 channels and a built-in ADC and ADAT converter stage.

So, has anyone made experiences with the PGA2500?
All hints would be appreciated!

Thanks and greetz

I see this is a rather old thread but th question remains valid.
Have you found/done anything about this.

I have a project similar that I am contemplating now.... to me it's the ADAT interface that is more problematic because it can be used only under license it sems.

Too bad, would be fairly easy to implement with an FPGLA although its been about ten years I haven't touched Altera's
:xeye:

Hmm, I worked with ADAT interface, too, but I didn't
have any problems concerning license. I just used the
Alesis AL1402/1401 circuits (now Wavefront Semiconductor),
and everything went fine.

Due to lack of time I didnt't work further at this project....
