Thanks bud, no I am just happy with what I have right now. I don't use it much, mainly when a bunch of friends come over for some gaming and I hook up the big screen, otherwise it does not get used. So, I figured it is not worth the money to spend doing all the retrofitting.
If I do go ebay, I wonder if I should sell them all as a kit, or seperately. Hmm, I just don't know 🙂

I only watch "Kenshin" on it, ut the overall cost of using this setup efficiently requires me to use HQI, it will come in handy in the future 🙂
i rather pay a one time price of 100++ instead of 20$ each 75 hrs..and beeing cheap with the usage lol

halogen bulbs can in fact be cheap. my ohp uses EVD 36V 400W bulbs and there are three types of them:
HLX 64663 50 hours
HLX 64664 150 hours
HLX 64665 300 hours

I have DYS type bulbs, the only long life bulb that i've seen for it are rated 75 hrs ++
retail is around 6-7$ with shipping its around 20$
and Ed uses BLH 1,000 watt halogens which are kinda hard to find and costs at LEAST 20$ and thats without shipping
getting an HQI or any other type of MH is still better overall, in hours, color, and lumens and especially $$$
