Laser and mech from WES components.
Opamps from RS (not a large choice) or prices I quoted are from Farnells.

Panasonic caps from RS.
Farnells are mail order from sydney.
WES is also mail order from sydney.

Farnells sometimes carry a different range of values than RS.

Both are the expensive option, but they normally have the hard to find stuff so you pay for it.

Prime electronics (have other company names), I REFUSE to deal with point blank.
Far too expensive for std lines.
Also they have stuffed me (and others) around too much.
They tell you they've ordered something, but they haven't.
I know someone that used to work there, "The staff are told to tell the customer it's ordered, but it won't be until they have a large enough order to get bulk rates"
This means I (and my then tv repairer) were kept waiting for over a YEAR for a sony tv part.

I REALLY HATE THIS BLUUDY TIME LIMIT FOR EDITING.

Ok, so what would your thoughts be on doing all 4 opamps with LT1057CN8#PBF ?

There about $6 each.

Would this be an improvement over std ?

And yes I had a look at those sites listed.

LT1057CN8 is in plastic package. High extension is not enough. If you want to use plastic package try to use Analog device op275 in the I/V and op249 in the output.

There is more than one manufactures produce op275 and op249. Make sure this is from Analog Device.

I have two different OP275. One is from AD, another one is from PMI. AD is better. You can buy in digikey.

Sure, the PMI one is much older as AD acquired PMI in 1990.
They retained the original PMI number sytem.

Many old AD/PMI opamps do sound different, mostly more bright, from recent manufacturing I think due to better process techniques.
