Nope I don"t know the differance accept that my guitarist has a dual rec solo head and it sounds AWESOME!!!
The dual means it has a regular solidstate bridge regulator as well as a valve regulator... you can switch between the two modes... I suspect the tripple has dual bridges.... that woud be the first thing i look out for in it anyway..
Be carefull I believe there are some very wrong boogie schematics out there...
Mesa Boogie Dual rectifier is one of the best amps ever made, period. Lots of big name bands use it...

According to the schematic the dual has (2) 5u4's plus diode rectification and is switchable between the diodes and the tube rectification.
According to Mesa information they have (3) 5u4's plus diode rectification in the triple rectifier and is switchable beween the tube and diode rectification. They have (6) 6L6's in the triple verses (4) 6L6's in the dual.
I don't have it yet to look at it. A local music shop is trying to sell it for 100% of the going price when it is very nasty sounding in all but the clean channel. A young man that was my summer helper several years back is interested in it and wondered if I could fix it.
I told him yes but I would like to get my hands on a schematic to see if someone has butchered it inside.

One thing about the Mesa's. They tend to have pretty finicky controls... leading to a large range of possible sounds... sometimes just a slight turn on a knob can result in something untastefull...
What is nice about the switching is that it can also switch form high output power to low output power and can also be run wil 6L6 I think...

Page 4 of the schematic listed in this thread shows the dual's power supply having (2) 5U4's and diode rectification.
The comment on the triple rectifiers power supply was taken from Mesa's information on the triple rectifier unit. It also lists the (6) 6L6's in the triples output stage. So its not a question of my schematic showing something any more complete than yours as I still do not have a triple rectifier schematic to look at.
Since the triple lists (3) 5U4's I would make a guess that they are paralled up to stand up to the requirements needed for the 150 watt amplifier.

Yeh, you are right, the 5u4's are in parrallel and act as a single rectifier to be able to handle the load.
The use of the word "Triple" rectifier is a con, there is the solid state bridge rectifier (thats counted as 1) and there is the tube rectifiers (2 or maybe 3 tubes is some models) but they should also be just counted as 1 rectifier. So it is really a Dual rectifer amp, don't get caught up in marketing hype.

As I get it, the singe, dual and triple rectos have the same pre with dual rectifying [tube or diodes] adn the single has a 50w power amp, the dual has 100w and the triple has 150w,,,
they're good amps, very well built but they are imho, like almost 100% of the hi gain modern guitar amps out there, just plain copies of the Soldano SLO,,, there's some minor differences that affect the voicing of the various amps but, all in all, they're almost all the same,,, just take a look at the schematics.
as per your schematic, you could just add a pair of tubes to the output and use an adequate OT I guess,,,

If you're still looking for schematics, my advice would be to give Mesa a call or email. In my experience, most amp makers are happy to help.

So if its a £300,000 Cartier choke with a pendant -- he sees £12 worth of silver.
I look at the Calibre series of Mesa's and did the same trick ...£90 of parts and a Gauss Speaker
