Folks,
Thank you for your wonderful Christmas wishes!! It is now 9:35am Xmas day in Oz, and it's a lovely day of about 22C (how about that, no snow, huh?) but rising to 31C, which is quite hot. My family are all together, and both my daughters are pregnant, which was a lovely surprise for the parents!
It's been quite a year. War in Ukraine, imminent debt crisis, embargoes against Russia, Japan is militarising, Covid is still ravaging some areas and China is in some civil unrest, climate change is really hitting many areas, inflation has finally come to the major economies after decades absent, and the baby boomers - my generation - are all retiring and handing over the reins. It is difficult to imagine we will avoid war, somewhere, somehow.......
Aspen is still there. My designing continues, but the business is difficult at present. My health is starting to flicker; I spend a lot of time seeing doctors. I feel OK and my mind is still clear, but my energy is poor. But I have redoubled my socialising; my old friends are important to me.
