I think they use the higher permeability cores from China these days so will probably require a dc trap but still a rather cheap tapped 500va trannie -

Those IXYS fred bridges are a beefy 60A @ 600v and about A$30 ea - dunno if you need anything this big - and I thought the 25A ones were quite over specced!
