Yup, pretty standard for those. They were not worth repairing, so we didn't. Just rough certs when new for those who wanted it. Most required "optimization" and many would not meet spec on all functions and ranges. Nature of the beast.
These things are useful if you know what their limitations are. They are good for a rough idea only and I would check them against a good meter before using them. But to rely on one ... ahh, no.
