Great advice AndrewT. I hadn't thought really about modding from the outset. With the end being a 4 channel system, wouldn't it be reasonable to do a Right/Left pair of amps first for say the mid/woofers and mod the pair accordingly? As opposed to two different Right/Left amps for the mid/woofers? The reasoning behind this it that musical information on each side will be different. On second thought, I could feed each amp a combined Right/Left signal (mono) and compare that way.
you can go for all 4 channels identical.
If you know that this 4channel amplifier will only ever be used to drive a pair of bi-amplified speakers then the Treble amp can be tuned to get the best of the treble driver and the bass/mid amp can be tuned to get the best out of the bass/mid driver.
Read Peter Daniel for tuning a chipamp to suit mid and treble frequency bands at the expense of some bass to get a better overall effect with his full range speakers.

Cool. I didn't know they could be tuned to suit the intended frequency. You wouldn't know what to search for to read the Peter Daniel info or have a link?
