Well, yes. Source follower would have been lovely and linear but I'd then have had trouble driving it.
This is something like what I have in mind.It will have voltagegain contrary to the name of this thread. I think this one makes the short current feedback loop comprise the transformer and its imperfections in a smart way, and I couldent help myself but implementing a touch of Nelson Pass patented Supersymmetry.
Any comments or ideas???
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I forgot to say: There is only one transformer in each channel. Each transformer has a quadfilar prim and secondary and a bifilare feedback winding interleaved inbetween the layers in the primary and secondary.
Hey, Circlomanen!
Hey Circlomanen, here's my take on your idea -->

It is very well behaved. Most importantly, because of using the cross-coupling capacitors you =must= have the transformer 1:1:1:1 but the advantage is the transformer core does not have to pass audio frequencies to a secondary winding and then to the loudspeaker. It can be made out of any old rubbish and still work perfectly. I hope you actually get to read this old thread.
