McIntosh MI-200 Cover Plates

Home made covers. Getting ready to paint them next
Now all I need are a couple McIntosh Emblems.
Seems like a lot of MI-200 amps and powersupplies are always missing the cover plates.

First coat of Primer applied.

Painted covers. They still need emblems at some point.
I took a photo of the OEM covers for reference.
The last photo is really interesting. The amp was in Philco Instrument & Gauge division.
How rare to know the history of a piece of equipment all in one little tag.

I have a similar Altec amp. What pre treatment was used before painting with the spray cans?

I used a sandable gray primer. KRYLON gray Primer
