Not sure if this post belongs in this section or not but it is a solid state project so. Has anyone ever built this circuit? It's for a moving coil cartridge preamp, I found it while going through about 20 pages of electronic circuits. I found it interesting because it looks very easy to build and I have most of the parts on hand.preamp link
maybe i'm prejudiced but this circuit looks like a recipe for disaster. IME any capacitor, especially electrolytic, coupling a cartridge is very likely to comletely destroy its sound . If you want something which stands a chance to play music have a look at the circuit which Dice45 once described - a single (or several paralleled) FET with resistive load and battery power. The same topology works fine with valves too.

MC prepre....
May I suggest you to have look here.
This one is battery powered, easy to build and sounds great with my DL103. Fine caps (paper in oil, silver caps...) are required and p2p wiring is the way to succeed.
Trans are 2SK170GR for idss 5mA.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
