I understand thickness of at least 5cm for this 1/4 wavelength, however, what material would you recommend to glue at the baffle edges, considering that I'm using for some sort of aesthetics. What about these polyurethane foams. You can see the simulation.
What about using these? Is the shape important?

I once made a perforated baffle to target some frequencies.

Use the above to find the hole size and depth to target.
I also had a layer of felt over the top with a layer of melamine under the perforated layer.
It did change the decay by -6db but not the on-axis power. Maybe a lower frequency will be reduced more?
