I bought 200 transistors and have matched them. The groups that i matched are on ebay. I only kept a few for myself. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up. Digikey has the $ at 3.33 each, my $ is about $5 each including ship to lower 48.
I have groups of 3,4,6,12,16, and 20 up for sale, the group of 16 and 20 are single groups (rare to match this many unless you're starting with 200+ transistors), and there are multiple other groups. Have a look at all the auctions! Thanks guys!

Well no takers so far. I thought these transistors would be a big hit. I did some searching here on DIYAUDIO for uses for these transistors. irfp250n are an upgrade from irfp240, and work well (i think) in just about any application that irfp240 uses, although there is no complimentary transistor to irfp250n yet. someone mentioned to me that because of the gate capacitance, its best to use these transistors in half the normal quantity, for instance, if aleph 2 uses 12 irfp240's, to maintain the gate capacitance use only 6 irfp250n's, because the irfp250n's are basically akin to two irfp240's in parallel but in a single chip package... someone please correct me if i'm wrong

You might like to see this post I wrote about these devices and using them as replacements for others.
I would not recommend only using half the number of IRFP250N as you would need IRFP240 because they only have about the same SOA as the 240s so would fry. The old IRFP250 would be fine though.
The N designation indicates that the device is 5th generation and has a smaller die, hence SOA is not as good as the older ones. The advantage is that the smaller die costs less.

Good call on the SOA. I imagine that the dissipation is the same since the package is the same. to247. I'm keeping a few of these for myself, and i may try some of them in an aleph 2.... they are not stock replacements b/c of the capacitance, but still... should be a little more robust (amperage) than the 240's, though the SOA is similar. Well, those auctions have ended, since the transistors did not sell well, i have lowered the $$ and only put up 2 groups of 12 transistors
