Mass-loaded horns (dumping ground)

Since I've been having a sort-out I've culled a few [more] of these tall ML-horns (ML-Voigt if you prefer) designs off my hard drive. As there's a fair number, I've decided to stick them in a dedicated thread where they can lurk, in case anyone feels the urge to build something along these lines. A couple have been posted on other threads, but I've included them here so they're all together. The drawings are just my generic ML-horn template with the new dimensions stuffed in and a couple of quick images.

A couple of notes:

-These are not designed for maximum extension & a couple have slightly different design goals. However, they were all designed in the spirit of the original Voigt style pipe (basically they're standing wave generators), and are meant to be simple to build, big boxes. They should offer decent performance though.

-A voltage source amplifier was assumed for all of them, although they should do OK with most SET types with a bit more damping added.

-Unless otherwise noted, the design assumes all internal faces lagged with suitable damping material.

-I haven't added any shelving filters because the requirement for this varies according to position & room / system characteristics. Especially if they're near boundaries, they probably won't need much (if any).

Since we're on the subject of horn variants, I thought I'd name a few for creatures with impressive horns. Although in this case, I think the nose is just as impressive. Amiable looking thing. Saiga; TB W5-2143

Just another term for a quarter-wave. All enclosures generate standing waves. QW boxes typically stretch one dimension significantly relative to the others, and may be straight, tapered (narrowing) or horn (expanding) and are deliberately designed to use this as a functional part of their output, or at the very least take these characteristics into account. Hence MLTLs etc.

As in whether the pipes are folded or not? Yes; not a startling amount, but there's usually some, with the fold providing a degree of low-pass effect. I did the boxes here mainly for the aesthetic value; since folding them would negate that and their slightly broader gain-BW, if a shorter box is desired I'd simply build an MLTL.
