Looking for a source of small step up mains transformers. I have suffered a recent infestation of Martin Logan Sequel ii Electrostatics with lunched polarisation transformers. The incumbents are 115+115->460v on about a 6VA core. These don't feature in any of my regular suppliers catalogs so my McGuyver solution is to use a 6VA 230v-> 9+9v to a pair of 3VA 230v->9v backwards with their primaries in series.
Will it fit ? : YES.
Will it work ? : YES.
Is it an elegant solution : NO.
Looking for a better solution that doesn't involve my Chinese winder and a lot of very fine wire.

Did you see this discussion about them? The thread is older, so I don't know if the situation is still the same or applies to your country.

Tosh: I was able to order this transformer separately from ML (I spoke w Dana Brown) last year for $16 + shipping, so you may be able to get it straight from ML in USA?
malcesine: Thanks for the tip Tosh, looks like ML UK won't help at component level (but they will sell me the whole board at $480 !!)
ML USA can't supply to the UK due to international dealership rules etc so I need to find some kindly person in the US to order and ship to me !!
Unless of course there is an equivalent of the transformer that is commonly available ?
#ZERO: The transformers were manufactured by Coil-Tran Corp part number: 60T2706 EIA696B1-9717 OBJY2 which were custom made to ML specifications. I tried contacting the supplier which is now Hobart Electronics to see if they could supply me a PCB mount transformer with a slightly higher amperage rating but they won't release any information or custom maunfacture transformers on a small quantity order basis.

IIRC, Tosh = Andersonix on diyAudio

Depending on how many you need, having them purchased in the US and shipped in a USPS flat rate box may still be a reasonable solution.
Another "slightly" more elegant solution than the 3 transformer configuration you are considering, is a 2 transformer setup using 115/230V isolation transformers.
Use 2 putting primaries in parallel and secondaries in series for isolation and 460V output.
I've used these before: https://www.digikey.co.nz/en/products/detail/triad-magnetics/FP230-50/593966
