Hello all,
I have a pair of Martin Logan Ascent speakers where one of the panels is no longer working. The speakers are at least 12 years old and it looks like both panels have slid down their mounts over the years. One of them is down about an inch and the one that is not working slid down a couple of inches. I removed the panel that is not working and it looks like the wiring broke free from the panel. There are three wires that are supposed to connect to the panel, red, black, and blue. I really don't want to pull the panel off of the working speaker to see where they connect, so I'm hoping someone on here can help me out. It looks like the Black and Blue wires are supposed to be soldered to either side of the panel and the Red wire may have been just pressed into the center opening on the side of the panel.
I don't really want to go out and buy new speakers (but I kind of do), so any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Blue wire gos to the front....black to back....
The red wire is the bias .....this red wire is just press on the mylar.. were it feed high voltge....that makes the panel work....
call ML thay have a fix....just to bad that thay did not put the fix on your pr.....new panles are only $1500-2k....
I have had 3pr of the ML-Ascent-I....an a pr of the over $10k ML Prodigy that the panels fell out of the frames.... pulled the wires out.....like your an a lot others....
I only paid $100. for each pr for parts...

I think you should still confirm with the mating speaker whether blue goes to front and black to back as Tyu said. It's not that I don't believe Tyu but that I don't trust ML's QC.
No, you don't need to buy new speakers, esp after you use an active xo on the bass!

Over 10 pr of panels out of ML speakers..........never seen blue in back!
ML..QC....ended....as I see it.... with these free hanging ESL panel types ...Ascents-i Odyssey Prodigy...never made any more this way.....a replament panels comes set in it monting frame...nothing like the older SL3 type...
As I said call ML......if the other panel has not moved ...don't dair pull it apart...youll be luck to ever get the one you pulled back to gather
It is hard to beleve that big co. like logan would ever ship a speaker ..some costing over $10K.....that as you can see in the pic....can slide- fall-rip all the wire out ....an move all the way down to the floor....but thay made a fix...after 10k pr were sold....fix cost 5.cent
