Marshall Plexi problem

Hi Turk,
As I said: my Black Flag JTM50 (year 1967, model 1987) does the same thing. Slight bleed-through when both volumes are zeroed. It always has. As PRR suggested, it is more than likely bleed-through from the power rail: the input signal for each "channel" is amplified by half a 12AX7 section, prior to it hitting the channel volume pots, so there is fairly hefty signal on the triode(s) plates regardless of the volume settings.
That said, it is only slight bleed-through. Move the volumes off zero by any amount, and there's much more signal at the output!
How much bleed-through are you hearing?

Cheers, and regards,

Ant.

ok! so normal, at this point i guess i'll return it to the owner for evaluation seeing as what i've done is return it to stock, removing some badly implemented mods!(and a tube socket that was destroyed!)
i'm not a great player by any means but it sounds good to me...so we'll see...
