I'm somewhat confused by your postings' time stamps. How did you manage to reverse the time vector? So you're a very promising candidate for the next Nobel award 😀!
To your question: I severly doubt that you'll hear a difference when swapping the 3 H choke for a 5 H one or vice versa.

Agree and add: in the*old* days, capacitors were more expensive than chokes 😱 , so very small values (think 8uF) were used.
To properly filter ripple out, you could use either a small value resistor which makes a poor filter, a large value resistor which drops too much voltage, or a choke which does both things well: high impedance and low DC resistance so small drop and good filtering.

But nowadays capacitance is cheap and plentiful so the choke lost importance, in fact can be dispensed with with little or no trouble.
