The data sheet recommends between 8k2 and 9k1 dependant on cathode resistor value. Courtesy The Valve Museum.
I've used this output tranny with both ECL86 and 6V6 Guitar Amps.
86PP output transformer
10W HiFi (well mid Fi) is good for 14W Guitar Amp.
10K Raa: 4 and 8 ohm secondaries.
The 23% UL Taps can be used or left unconnected. 23% gives a bit more power at a bit more distortion than the more traditional 43% UL taps.
The ECL86 Amp I built was an Orange Tiny Terror Clone. I did not use the UL Taps.
Several Aussie guys building the Marshall Clones. Here in Oz the ECL86 is more commonly known as 6GW8.
