There is a thread where P7HDs can be (more or less) directly fitted, considered an upgrade. Original Pluvia 7 would be closest spec wise. Those all require reworking (shrinking) the cut-out and rebate.
I do have some CHBW and a set of CHP-70.2 that would also probably work and avoid redoing the rebate. Likely closest in voicing. Both lack top, so best used firing up?
You should replace at least 2.
The last of my free EL70 went out some time ago, i do have a couple pair to go (one set microTower Castles)

Thx Dave, I will review the driver spec.
A shrinking of rebate and opening may be beneficial if its a small enough change because the EL-70’s were v tight and this contributed to the demise of one of them.

I don't have P7HD, was looking into MAOP 7 which fits same boxes. Here are a few that appeal to my perceived wants and needs for the driver, not based on actual accounts of the builds:Anyone got any good cab plans for pluvia7hd?

It turns out a lot closer with EL70 and P7HD, my initial comment was from dropping A7ms into A7 rebate where the difference is much larger.
Looks like one might get away with a thick gasket (thinking back i did just this putting P7 into CHR-70 rebate).

Yes, just a gasket. Digging out the image poked me to remeber the P7. I used ~6mm closed cel foam gasket tape from hoe depot, and it fitalmost perfectly into the hole the CHR-70 came out of (P7 differs from P7HD, EL70 differs from CHR only in the magnet).
