So effectively, I will be moving my tweeter cross over freq by 1000 hz to a higher freq i guess.
Do you think this screaching is coming from lower frewquencies than the tweeter can handle ?

EDIT : ACtually, Looking at the impedance response, of the tweeter (http://www.swanspeaker.com/product/htm/view.asp?id=26), you might be right. Resonance freq seems to be too close to crossover frequency.
